S n G Trailer & Standing 1

As a interdisciplinary movement teacher, my goal for cueing is for activating and clarifying my students' movement blind spots.

Often we isolate a movement in order to bring more of the body and it’s movement capacity online, adding items to the menu so to speak- to have integrated access to as much as we can.

My instruction is meant to facilitate the expansion of options, reduce neural threat, and invite play, exploration and trust.

#unprops like socks, blankets and the wall, provide dynamic movement toward places or objects outside the body for less confusion.

Moving with/pulling/pushing pressing into blocks, bands, floor, wall can be helpful on many levels, one of which is that pulling movements are often missing from our practices.

Slides n Glides fosters the spirit of curiosity and experimentation rather than correction. As modern movement teachers, we want people to feel the freedom and permission to freely explore their bodies and minds.

Our cueing can be- Try this. What do you notice? What if you try it this way? Any different? Hmmm. Interesting!

Slides n Glides, my online course available on Teachable, features over 30 moves you can practice and teach right away. This project aspires to elevating the use and definition of props from from crutch/modifier to inventive, valuable tools.

Using blankets, socks and mittens, we push, pull, spin, scoot and build mobility in fun creative ways celebrating the incredibly valuable spirit of play.
