By adding a band we offer more resistance for increased load, increased proprioception and external cueing/task based movement to enhance motor control. We make the anterior/posterior movement more complex by adding in lunges and twist to make this relevant to every day tasks and sport, making it functional and pertinent. We can progress it by adding load and adding complexity, incorporating various positions of legs/lunges, adding head tilts for vestibular challenge, adding a metronome for rhythm/cerebellum challenge etc.
